These terms apply to all reservations, including bookings made via our website and third parties.
1. Booking
The number of guests, price, accommodation, as well as other products and services provided by Knutholmen, are stated in the confirmation the guest receives by email after booking.
All bookings must be guaranteed in advance via company agreement, travel agency, or credit card.
Hotel room availability applies, unless otherwise agreed, from 15:00 on the arrival date to 11:00 on the departure date.
2. Prices and payment
Agreed prices are binding for both parties. Knutholmen reserves the right to adjust prices due to increased costs for goods and services, changes in taxes and fees, or other circumstances beyond the hotel’s control.
We reserve the right to require advance payment.
Payment method must be agreed in advance, and complete invoice information must be sent to the hotel before arrival.
Knutholmen accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, and Eurocard.
3. Cancellation
Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation rules apply:
Hotel rooms:
Free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival.
Apartments:
Free cancellation up to 21 days before arrival.
Groups (more than 5 rooms) and packages:
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
In case of cancellation after the deadline, or in case of no-show, the stay will be charged in full (100% of the confirmed price).
Changes to a booking may be considered a new booking and may affect price and availability.
We recommend all guests to purchase cancellation insurance and have valid travel insurance.
4. Damage
The guest is financially responsible for any damage caused to rooms, furniture, or other property belonging to the hotel during the stay.
5. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Please see Knutholmen’s separate privacy policy.
6. Force majeure
Events beyond Knutholmen’s control, such as strikes, lockouts, fire, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, entitle the hotel to cancel the stay without liability for compensation.
Knutholmen will, as far as possible, try to find alternative solutions.
Weather conditions that are normal for the season do not entitle guests to free cancellation.
7. Jurisdiction
Any disputes between the parties shall be governed by Norwegian law.
If the dispute is not resolved amicably, the case shall be brought before the hotel’s jurisdiction.
